“The book of Ezekiel is a spiritual diary of a man’s encounters with God. His experiences move the reader to weep for him – though he never weeps for himself.” – Daniel I. Block

當我仍在疑慮之際,我打開了我的靈修禱告書 “Praying God’s Word Day by Day” (by Beth Moore),今天的訊息是:“We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, but frankly we won’t if we’re too afraid to try.”

禱告(“Praying God’s Word Day by Day” October 27 的禱告)

“My mighty God, thank You for Your Word that exhorts me not to become weary in doing good.  At the proper time I will reap a harvest if I do not give up (Gal. 6:9).

Father, this process of breaking free is hard work!  Please remind me often that it is also a very good work.  Help me to know without a doubt that any effort You require of me will have effect.  Please help me never to give up, no matter how long it takes.  I will reap a harvest in Jesus’ name!

Lord God, I acknowledge the promise of Your Word that I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength (Phil. 4:13).  Help me to cast all my anxiety on You because You care for me (1 Pet. 5:7).”  Amen.

Reap What You Sow

I’ve watched and read about Nick Vujicic’s testimony before, but last night when I saw this clip, I was very touched by what he has shared.

“When things that happened in your life, you don’t understand the purpose, the question is this: is God worthy of your thanks?  Is God still worthy of your praises?  A lot of people say the verse ‘the joy of the Lord is my strength’, what does that mean?  What is your joy?  Why can’t you rejoice always?”

“I love the fact that, that is the greatest joy of all: having Jesus Christ in my life, and living the godly purpose that He has for me.  And I can be thankful.  I thank God.”

“I pleaded with God, ‘God, give me arms and legs…’  I was hoping when I wake up in the morning that I would have arms and legs.  I thought it would be a great miracle…  But I stand before you today as a miracle of God, to prove to everybody, a pure example of God’s grace, love and perfection, so know that I’m the miracle, we are more than conquerors.  Circumstances do not have to change for you to become victorious, it’s our heart that needs to be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
